Welcome to La Presa Restaurant, a vibrant culinary gem nestled in Palatine, Illinois. Located at 319 S Rohlwing Rd, this haven of flavors specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine, showcasing a delightful array of dishes that spotlight both seafood and traditional favorites. Perhaps you’re enticed by the sound of rich, flavorful tacos, hearty burritos, or the tantalizing Camarones con Crema de Chipotle—these are just a few highlights from their impressive menu.

Patrons rave about the generous portion sizes, often commenting on how a single meal is more than enough to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. One visitor, Leidy Casadiego, emphasized her astonishment at the size of her steak meal, noting that despite her hunger, it was more than she could finish. The hospitality here is equally commendable, with both servers and chefs receiving praise for their friendly demeanor and attentive service.

Dining at La Presa is not just about the food; it’s about the experience. As Robin Hallett remarked, the food is prepared with joy, and you can truly sense the passion that goes into each dish. The ambiance may seem unassuming from the outside, but step in, and you’ll find a bustling space filled with cheerful diners, especially during peak hours—an encouraging sign of the restaurant’s rising popularity.

La Presa’s seafood offerings are particularly noteworthy, drawing the attention of seafood enthusiasts. David Harmon highlights the quality of their tortillas and a rich array of delicious sauces that accompany each dish. The menu caters to diverse tastes, making it an ideal spot for both adventurous eaters and those craving classic comfort food.

Affordable indulgence can be found here, with prices that reflect the quality of the food served. While some visitors, like Bryan Opitz, noted slightly higher prices, many agree that the value received through large, satisfying portions and quality ingredients—like the El Milagro tortillas—make it well worth the trip.

I have purchased tacos, lots of Hibiscus (Jamaica) and a burrito here in the past. But today I decided to order a steak meal. I was starving when I ordered, however I did not expect it would be a huge meal. I had to get a box to pack what I couldn't finish. Everything was delicious and both the server and chef were very polite and friendly. I'm % bringing people here when they say they are starving and hitting them with a huge plate of steak (but judging by the menu pictures, it looks like the seafood dish is about the same size)

Spent 125 for lunch and drinks with a buddy. Very expensive and they don't do TACO Tuesday specials. The other La Presa right down the road does though

It's all good. Delicious sauces. My favorite tortillas are El Milagro, and I can tell that is what they use here. An impressive variety on the menu , with an especially large seafood menu. Prices are a little higher than some other places, but are worth it.

I’ve seen this restaurant for years (maybe decades?) while going to Napoli’s. It always appears unassuming. A friend and I decided to stop here randomly and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Great service I need to say firstly. Although the laminated menus don’t have prices, the paper ones at the counter do for most items not Market Price. Don’t let this put you off. My meal was 20.99 at time of payment before tip, for seafood. The insane amount of different whole seafood options and steak specialties, the massive colorful platters, the huge drinks... This is a wonderfully decadently-far cry from my typical Napoli’s trip. BUT they still make the essentials like tacos, sopes, and burritos too. I got the Camarones con Crema de Chipotle, my friend got the Chilaquiles Verdes. Both were on MASSIVE platters and was a great amount of food. Seasoned rich sauce, great shrimp, warm tortillas... My friend’s margarita with the Corona took forever to finish and must have had good quality tequila in it. As the meal wore on, the restaurant had more and more customers for a late Sunday lunch. It didn’t seem so empty and quiet as what you see from the outside, and it was nice seeing people coming in. I would definitely come back again or make a pickup order with the fam. Great job, employees!!

Came in on a Sunday night and it was pretty much empty. Food was delicious, huge servings. Horchata was good, salsas was great, steak burrito was better than I expected. Quac was also great and the server was nice and attentive. No prices on the main menu, but it wasn’t crazy expensive- about 40 for a burrito dinner, enchiladas dinner, horchata and quac...
